Itinerary
Your holiday starts at London Paddington railway station as we are welcomed by our Tour Manager in the First Class lounge. Once the rest of our travel group has arrived, we board the midday train to Penzance, enjoying the comfort of our First Class seats.
This picturesque journey features everchanging scenery from the train window as we travel from the suburbs of London through the rural West Country and into Cornwall's wild open landscapes.
On arrival in the early evening, we are transferred by coach to our cliffside hotel, Cape Cornwall Club in St Just, for an overnight stay and an evening meal with our group.

went down from Paddington on overnight sleeper-in reality not much sleep was had what with 16 stops ;breakfast was touch mean; compartment tight spacing and corridors were narrow.then had just under 3 hours on Scillinoan ferry-been around for over 40 years and rolled quite a bit.Good choices of hot/cold food. we were in a party of 24 all staying in 3*Atlantic Hotel-paid extra for sea view which well worth it. Trouble was no lounge-priority for numerous bars which very popular. 1/2 board was good quality;but no fresh fruit until final morning which found touch mean. when we had bad storm last night our windows rattled so much precious sleep and huge draughts did not help temp in room.Told hotel is due for major refurbishment which just about sums it up.Bedroom well appointed with a coffee pod machine/kettle/teabags which most welcome. It was very interesting to note large number of commercial premises up for sale which will cut choices right down-sign of times. heaven knows if St.Mary's will ever pick up again.Co-op store reduced everybody to 1 of each item-locals not amused-either unable get good supplies or store caught short with numbers end of season rush.many very good small eating /drinking bars found have popped up on Island and on all the other smaller Islands.Think 7 nights a bit too long to stay-very dependent on having good weather-which sadly we did not have.luckily were flown to mainland on last morning -looked down on some very rough seas-ferry was cancelled for 3 days. Really do think some charm will be lost if all the premises up for sale are sold with no real sign of recovering with fresh blood. Found it was very popular to take ones dog/s away with you as all over the Islands. Will not rush back-long way to then still get wet quite often!!
